Zainab’s Mehndi was drenched in emerald green and warm marigold — rich, jewel-toned silks embroidered with gold thread, a peach dupatta cascading like sunlight over her shoulder, and henna so detailed it looked like poetry etched into skin. Usman matched her in his own embroidered green sherwani, and when he leaned in to rest his forehead against hers, you could feel — not just see — two families becoming one.
